Like many of you, my news cycle and social media have been consumed by the results of the local elections. I mean, there is no escaping it, and rightly so. There are so many things to take from it, including seeing that the end of the two-party system may well be done and dusted.
Yet for me, it posed two key questions: how do I raise black children under a Reform government, and how does a company like Black Ballad survive under a Reform government?
Both questions are no longer hypothetical. We’ve seen the numbers, we’ve seen the clips of people justifying why they voted in that direction, and we can no longer deny that Nigel Farage as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is some left-field fantasy. It is a real possibility that we must reckon with.
