“It's equally important for the conversations around black art to be spoken about by black voices and for that conversation to be non-exclusive and to travel beyond the capital to less progressive and less economically-developed areas, such as the East Midlands.
It's these areas where black audiences are not as inclined to think that art could ever be for them but where so many creative stories are waiting to be told too.”
