I wasn’t much into TikTok when it first launched and became almost an overnight sensation. It felt like more of a Gen-Z trend and I wanted to stay off it, mostly because I could barely keep up with the socials I was already on.
Unfortunately for my self-imposed social media ban, I was assigned to do some research on how the TikTok algorithm worked. “Just my luck,” I remember muttering.
Signing up to TikTok was quite easy, I simply clicked on my interests, and my feeds, which were random at first, were then curated based on my likes.
TikTok is a remarkable app because it opens up the world in a new way. It offers up the platform for professionals to interact and elaborate on things one would normally have to seek a consultation for.
For me, it’s a great source for quick, efficient information, and said information can come directly from reliable sources, if you really know what you’re looking for. So, just like everyone else, I got hooked.
