Meet Mwanjé - a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Zambia, raised in Botswana, who after moving to Australia embarked on her career in music. Her music embodies a fluid sound of alternative R&B, neo-soul and jazz paired with spiritually infused visuals reflecting her African heritage and culture.
Mwanjé may be the sister of hip-hop artist Sampa The Great, but she’s creating her own legacy and defining her sound, regardless of family ties. We spoke to Mwanjé to discuss her newest single ‘Call 2 The Diaspora’, her journey into the music industry and her contrasting experiences as a black woman in Botswana and Australia.
