How To Balance Your Career & Family And Navigate Your Needs In The Workplace

My career started right after finishing law school, where I came to the realisation that the legal profession that I dreamt of, through shows such as Law & Order and The Good Wife, was very far from the reality of legal practice. So, I quickly pivoted.

I stumbled across a start-up founded by two incredibly successful ex-Stanford MBA grads; one had built a dot.com unicorn and sold it to Microsoft and the other listed his previous business on the stock market.

They were building a business servicing private equity houses and hedge funds and that became the industry I stayed in for over 10 years. I worked hard and was trusted to run large teams and smashed all my growth targets.

Following that, I spent some time at an innovation consultancy and eventually I was headhunted to join a similar company to help grow the business in London.

That season became synonymous with growth because as I helped to grow the business, I also grew my family. 2017 was the year that changed almost everything, it was the year I had my son.
