I’ll just dive right in and say this: it is essential for a black woman to protect, preserve and pursue her aspirations, however lofty it might seem, even if it seems impossible. 

It is so correct for a black woman to do what she must in order to be her true self.

It is important for black women, in particular, to be relentless in the pursuit of that which sets her soul on fire. 

For a long time, my mantra has been to audaciously dream and realise those, not just in spite of my circumstance but because of it.
