Founder's Letter: Why We Need To Let Go Of Our Friendships Being Equally Balanced

Finally, January is over and February is here. It is still cold and still dark for far too long, but I have never loved January and this January has been interesting to say the least, but as some would say, we keep it moving or some like me may even say: "God is good."

I’ve been thinking a lot about relationships and not romantic ones, but friendships. For me, friendships with girlfriends, in particular black women, feed my soul. I am a real girl’s girl. In fact, if another woman says she doesn’t have girlfriends - it’s an automatic red card from me. How can you live a life as a woman, as a black woman and not have a single black female friend to bounce off from? Laugh with? Cry with? It makes no sense to me.
