Some weeks I have to think long and hard about what I’m going to write about and then some weeks, I have no choice but to address a particular issue that has impacted our community either positively and negatively. I’m sure that many of you would be expecting that I address the incident that happened in the Peckham hair shop this week and quite rightly so.

For those who don’t know, on Monday 11th September, a black woman was assaulted in Peckham Hair and Cosmetics by the shop’s owner (whose name I do not care to know, but it is vital to point our that the owner is an Asian man.) A recording by another customer shows the shop owner choking the woman as she struggles to break free from his grasp.
