Founder's Letter: Three Years On From Lockdown, I Appreciate Being Still More Than Ever

I had a conversation on Saturday about Brexit, as my husband and I discussed the saga and its on-going effects to this day. We were stunned when we couldn’t put a date to when this country (and I was not one of them) decided to leave the EU. We ended up googling the date, obviously, but it reminded us of the clear distinction of life before the pandemic and life after March 25th 2020.

To think three years ago, we entered into a once in a lifetime pandemic that brushed across the entire world and felt surreal. I often feel like lockdown and Covid-19 feels like a Hollywood blockbuster that got way too much money. If someone told me a year before that we would start the 20s decade with a disease that nobody at the time knew barely anything about, that we wouldn’t leave our homes for months and we would have thousands of casualties everyday, I would have said: “absolutely not.”

I would have been, however, absolutely wrong.
