Founder's Letter: Keke Palmer Is A Reminder That We Shouldn’t Put Up With Toxic Masculinity

I think the subject of this week's newsletter will hardly be surprising. Whether it's through WhatsApp, Tweets, or even Zuckerberg's new app Threads, Keke Palmer has been the main topic of conversation. Now, just in case you have no idea why she has been the topic of conversation (something I highly doubt), her boyfriend body-shamed her on Elon Musk's app.

The actress was at an Usher concert and was serenaded by the singer while wearing a sheer black dress. Her boyfriend (whose name I care not to know or remember) tweeted: "It's the outfit tho.. you a mom." I'll be honest, I saw the tweet and thought it was a joke. If you don't like what your partner is wearing, surely you pick up the phone and not try to embarrass them on Twitter? But no, as we all know, it wasn't a joke. He doubled down with a second tweet, writing: "We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn't want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case."
