This newsletter may feel like a week earlier for some, as Mother’s Day is next week, but I have decided to a take a week off next week, so I can have the full Sunday to enjoy being, well, a mother.
There is no journey quite like parenthood and it is one that constantly requires self-awareness, self reflection and intentionality. There were so many pieces of advice that were and are still thrown my way when it comes to parenting and as you can imagine, some of that advice isn’t asked for or required. Yet, one thing that no one said, is that motherhood, besides being brilliant, thrilling and all consuming, is without doubt the hardest job any of us will ever do and I’m not sure if enough mums or parents say that out loud.
