Founder's Letter: Dealing With The Biggest Lie The World Tells Mums

Guilt. It’s a funny word. There are different levels of guilt. That type of guilt that can keep you awake all night when you know you are blatantly in the wrong with a loved one. That quick pang of guilt you feel when you are supposed to be eating healthily, but can’t resist something sugary and sweet. Guilt, like most emotions, has a spectrum.

Yet, I have never felt more heavily consumed with feelings of guilt than I have over the last several months. Most days and nights I feel what many would call mum guilt. As I try to strike a balance of working and giving my daughter the time and attention she needs, I feel guilty for not giving her every minute of my time and I feel strangely guilty to my work for not giving it my best because my time is limited.
