It has been an incredible experience to work on this project and to share so many black women’s experiences of the North West. I’ve always been connected to the cities of Liverpool and Manchester that populate most of the week’ stories, having either lived in or regularly visited both locations. As someone from a reasonably-hidden corner of the region that isn’t one of the major towns, I’ve struggled to think of what to share about where I was raised. This is admittedly because I have very little good things to say.
