Editor's Letter: It's Important To Enjoy Your Own Company

There is something quite tedious about flying. Some people marvel at being above the clouds and cutting through them in what seems like slow motion. I on the other hand, find myself feeling restless and as bad as it may sound, when travelling alone, I always hope I’m not sitting next to someone who wants to engage in an on and off again conversation that spans the majority of the flight.

Writing this week's newsletter thousands of miles above ground, I was reminded of a few things. Despite the feeling of restlessness in the beginning of my flight, one of the joys of this journey is that I was reminded how important it is to switch off from life’s pressures and be able to appreciate my own company. Our day to day lives are filled with us consuming so much information and the chance to process every single bit can be overwhelming and somewhat impossible.
