The documentary White Nanny, Black Child was aired on Channel 5 in 2023 and won a BAFTA in May 2024 in the Specialist Factual category. It highlights the stories of over 70,000 West African (mainly Nigerian and Ghanaian) children who were privately fostered by white, often working-class, people in the UK in the 60s and 70s.
