With the general election around the corner and the rise of far-right movements across Europe, many migrants like me are faced yet again with the harsh reality that they don’t count or have a say politically. Although the nation gathers their prayers and hopes for a better UK on 4th July, I won’t be able to join them and neither will the other five million migrants living in this country.
