Five minutes into the interview with Samantha, we have to cut her off. Why? Sitting opposite her in a juice bar in Central London has not worked out – in fact, it has been a flat out fail. The soft spoken writer can’t quite be heard over the loud music and chitter chatter. So when we ask her if we can move to an alternative location, her answer is self-deprecating, charming and problem solving.
“That’s fine. I’m really sorry. I have a really quiet voice. Shall we go to this bakery on Carnaby Street?”
There is something quite warm about the 27-year-old, a quality we hope will translate into the four female characters in her new web series Life of Hers. When we sit down in Le Pain Quotidien, she confesses that all the women have a little bit of Samantha Chioma in them.
“All four ladies are based on me!” she laughs.
“I think people who know me from my blog will associate me more with Kaima, as she is Igbo and she is a writer. However, my friends and family will probably see me in all of them.
