Rakie Ayola On The Pact S2, Securing A Seat At The Table And Giving Black Women Their Flowers

As I walk onto the set of The Pact series two, I’m taken aback by how large the scale is. Partly set in a grand home in Wales, this new series of the thrilling BBC One drama follows Christine Rees (Rakie Ayola) and her family.

Alike to the first series, the main angle focuses on a secret pact between the characters as they navigate through divided loyalty and morality, but with a brand-new cast throughout six episodes.

In this series’ premiere, we’re introduced to Christine’s oldest son Will (Lloyd Everitt), youngest son Jamie (Aaron Anthony) and daughter Megan (Mali Ann Rees), as they deal with the aftermath of their late brother Liam’s passing.

Sounds simple enough, but the story quickly begins to get complex. We see the appearance of suspicious stranger Connor (Jordan Wilks) as he confronts the Rees family, claiming to be their long-lost brother - another sibling to add to the fold.
