These Black British Women Made TV History With ‘Venus vs. Mars’

Since Sky launched nearly 25 years ago, it has provided the Great British public with shows from both sides of the Atlantic that have made us cry, laugh and hold our breath. You may have shouted at the screen while Olivia Pope dreamt of Vermont with Fitz on Sky Living, laughed with or at Stella on Sky One, or been in awe while watching Game of Thrones and its all been thanks to Sky.

However, one thing Sky hasn't done is make our fall in love or loath a black British female character... until now.

Yes, on April 9th, Sky made history when it aired Venus vs. Mars. The show, created by Baby Isako, follows Venus (played by Letitia Hector) a 20-something city girl who is on a quest to not just find love, but understand how men actually think.

We spoke to the two women to find out more about the show, what they both did when the first episode aired on Sky and... Will Smith.
