Cash is Queen is unlike any other personal finance book. Its cover is a vibrant jacket of bold green, gold and reds, and its interior contains page after colourful page of beautiful illustrations, activities, real-life scenarios, and tons of financial concepts broken down for young minds to understand.
At first glance, one could easily mistake Cash is Queen for a teen novel, but this book is the key to everything a young girl will need to set herself up financially. From spotting an online catfisher to planning for retirement, Cash is Queen covers it all. It’s the first of its kind – written especially for tween and teen girls. It’s why I’m calling it a coming-of-age book for every young lady.
I had the opportunity to speak with its author, Davinia Tomlinson. She is also the award-winning founder of rainchq, which she set up to help women take control of their financial futures, and holds over 15 years of experience in the finance and investment industry. She currently resides in the Caribbean where she moved so that her daughters won’t have to grow up with the narrative that they have to work “twice as hard”.
