If you don’t recognise her face or her name, you most certainly have seen her handiwork. Bernicia Boateng is the makeup artist of choice for some of our on-screen faves including Michaela Coel, Letitia Wright and Jodie Turner-Smith.
In 2021, she graced our TV screens as a star of Channel 4’s Highlife reality series, giving us body, business and face alongside her sisters as they discussed entrepreneurship and family. More recently, the British-Ghanaian creative has been working with Haus Labs by Lady Gaga on the launch of the beauty brand’s Tricolone Skin Tech Concealer.
We spoke with the ‘Complexion Queen’ about her career so far, the mistakes she’s learned from and, of course, the makeup tips that we need for the season ahead.
