With her infectious energy and eye-catching style, and hits like ‘Sability’, ‘Bloody Samaritan’ and the GRAMMY-nominated ‘Rush’, there’s no doubt that Ayra Starr is pushing boundaries in the male-dominated Nigerian music scene.

Before embarking on a career in music, Ayra found herself in the world of modelling. As a teenager, she signed with the Lagos based modelling agency, Quove Model Management. With her mother’s encouragement, she began to upload covers on Instagram and her own original song, co-written with her brother, Milar, in December 2019.
