Rejection Therapy Reset My Brain – And How I Think About Love & Dating

Over the past year, I found myself repeatedly facing rejection. At first, each failed connection felt like a painful setback, a reminder that something was fundamentally wrong with me. But as time passed, I began to recognise these experiences for what they truly were: an unintentional course in rejection therapy.

Rejection therapy is a psychological technique where individuals deliberately seek rejection to build resilience. People make bold requests, like seeking discounts or unqualified job positions. The goal? To desensitise themselves to rejection, proving that the fear of hearing ‘no’ is often worse than the reality.
