Tara L. Martin, founder and CEO of TLM Strategic Advisors in New York, had always been great at multitasking. She worked in politics and government for 25 years, and being hyper-focused on multiple projects had become her forte. However, in 2021, things started to take a turn.

Tara’s ability to concentrate on her work took a nosedive and she developed short-term memory problems. She was also experiencing constant fatigue and in a lot of pain, particularly in her wrists, ankles and feet. 

Imagining that it was some kind of neurological issue, she chalked up the symptoms to arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome – a painful condition of the hand and finger caused by nerve compression.
