Founder's Letter: A Girl's Trip Is An Investment In Your Happiness

In 2020 and 2021, I didn’t leave the country. As I typed that sentence, I realised how spoilt that may sound. There was a global health crisis, and I gave birth in both years - typing that is also a madness, so I guess I had no business travelling too.I next stepped on a plane in December 2022 to do Christmas abroad with the family, and to this day, it has been the best Christmas I’ve ever had. Since 2022, I’ve travelled solo for the first time, travelled abroad with hubby, and been on multiple family holidays, including going back home to Nigeria. All of those were wonderful, but this year I did a holiday I hadn’t done in nearly a decade… I did a girls’ holiday.I spent three days celebrating one of my closest friends getting married, and I never realised how much I had missed doing a yearly trip with my girlfriends. While I didn’t know everyone on the trip beforehand, there is one thing a girls’ holiday does: it allows you to step outside the reality and responsibilities of everyday life and live a little more carefree.
