Introducing The Black Ballad Weekender!
Celebrating 10 years of black women, black stories and Black Ballad with the first ever #BBWeekender - a two day lifestyle festival for Black women taking place this August Bank Holiday!
10 years ago, Black Ballad was created to give Black women in Britain a place to call home. Since then, hundreds of thousands of Black women have read BB articles, watched our videos and attended our events. You've been our paying members and we've paid you to be our writers and creators. In 2021, you even become our investors.
That’s why we have organised The Black Ballad Weekender - the ultimate event for black women, celebrating 10 years of black women, black stories and Black Ballad.
Join us on 23rd - 24th August at the Business Design Centre in London, where you and 2,000 black women can look forward to:
- Inspiring Voices: Hear from close to 100 influential black women
- Engaging Sessions: Participate in nearly 40 panels, workshops, keynotes, and interviews across six dynamic spaces.
- Free Experiences: From health & beauty, to money & meeting your favourite authors, get the best lifestyle experiences absolutely free
- Unique Shopping Experience: Browse our retail area, showcasing 50 black-owned businesses and established brands.
- Delicious Delights: Enjoy a variety of cuisines at The Black-Owned Food Court, brought to you by Just Eat.
- Exclusive Goodie Bags: Receive special goodie bags in partnership with TreasureTress.
- The BB Weekender App: Connect other attendees, book your sessions & have everything you need to know available at your fingertips
Since 2014, Black Ballad has been creating spaces that put black women first, where we can meet for the first time and start life long friendships. Where we can learn, share and grow together. Where we can celebrate each other for the big and the small.
We have never done it bigger than we’re going to with The Black Ballad Weekender - and we can’t wait for you to experience it.
