For a variety of reasons, sometimes the families that we were born into fail us, but that isn't the only type of family that we have to settle for.

In all honesty, "chosen family" is just a title that's finally been put to something that's been a thing in our communities for as long as anyone can remember. Chosen families are just as important, with bonds that can be as strong – or stronger – than the ones we have with the people we are related to. And here, we celebrate that!
