Editor's Letter: The Real Problem With Alexandra Burke

It is cold. In fact, it is so cold that I detest having to leave my house. Just like the London Underground, I also shut down at the mere spec of snow. So I prefer to spend my weekends at home in the warm and doing the things that count as acts of self-care. A weekend of self-care involves working out, good food, reading a good book (finally reading Why I’’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race - it does not disappoint) and of course, a spot of Saturday night TV.

So when thinking about the things I wanted to do this weekend in order to re-charge, it cemented the topic I wanted to discuss in this newsletter. Anyone that knows me, knows that when it comes to my Saturday self-care routine, Strictly Come Dancing is a non-negotiable. I am absolutely obsessed - I love watching the contestants dance, I live for the judges’ comments and I follow the spoiler account because it is the one show on TV that fills me with utter joy.
