For several months there has been a trend on Twitter in which many Black British women have tweeted about their dissatisfaction with Black British men.

Their number one complaint is that these men aren’t romantic. Meanwhile, there’ve been many tweets with media depicting African Americans displaying their love for women. It may seem that it’s due to the countdown to Valentine’s Day but tweets like this have been around for months before February. Are these just Twitter phenomena or an indicator of what's occurring in real life?

According to psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman, who studied 6,500 women and men from every country, British men are among the least romantic. His findings exposed that they were one of the least likely to do simple tasks, such as giving breakfast in bed.
