The Black Women Exploring Apprenticeships As Viable Career Choices

Apprenticeships have evolved dramatically over the last few years. No longer are they predominantly low-paid roles that are only associated with skilled trade industries like plumbing, carpentry or scaffolding.

They’ve been overhauled to become a viable learning route that has been adopted by a wide range of sectors in the UK: finance, law, tech, teaching, creative media, PR, marketing, the list goes on. 

By granting access into a range of industries, and with some roles boasting impressive starting salaries, apprenticeships are becoming a popular choice for many people. There’s also been a surge in the number of in-place workers using apprenticeships to upskill themselves or reskill completely into a new industry.
