It feels crazy to think we are already approaching the final quarter of the year. I know so many of us say this, but where has the year gone? I know there are endless Instagram quotes about giving it all you got in the last three months of the year. No doubt, some of you reading this will have been, or will be pulled into work meetings about the final quarter and what that means.
I guess, what prompts me to think about the end of the year even more than the average person, is that it is also when I turn another year older. In little over a month I’ll be 35, the half way mark of the decade that is often touted as the “best decade of our lives,” as many people told me your 30s is like your 20s with money. As I approach the final quarter of the year and hit the half way mark of my 30s decade, I think it feels like I’m going through a huge life transition and that is ok. As I approach 35, I am realising that pressing the reset button, or maybe the “reinvent yourself: button is actually alright and in the right circumstances, can feel quite liberating.
